When you think of Winter Weddings what exactly is it that you think of?
Is it rich sumptuous colours, roaring log fires or maybe if you are lucky a small scattering of snow……..
For us at Timeless Inspirations it can only mean two things, whichever option you choose you would be surely looking for a magical, romantic setting.
The first theme springing to mind would be creating a magical winter wonderland incorporating crisp whites, silver accents and ice blues, pure white aisle runner adorning your walkway and frozen ice sculptures if budget allows. How about snow flake touches, wishing trees and white flowers?
Or, if Frozen simply isn’t for you are you looking more for a festive look?
I would suggest mixing bright reds, berries and possibly pine cones with the crisp white, the ambience of glowing candles and lanterns – how about mini mince pies as favours?
The festive theme is great as a budget saving option as you may be able to re-use the venues decorations already in place.
Swap your champagne and prosecco for warming mulled wine or hot chocolate in clear glasses.
Autumn Weddings are all about the colours, using rich warm reds, yellows of the changing landscape, the bright oranges of the pumpkin centrepieces, and the deep browns of the falling conkers. If you are looking for a classic, warm wedding then autumn is certainly a beautiful time of year to tie the knot! Team your colours with tiny accents or metallic bronzes and golds.
Bring the outside in, display your cake and centrepieces on rustic tree trunk slices and surround them with colourful leaves and pine cones to create a classic woodland feel.
To add some light how about fireworks and lanterns!
For a subtler touch choose natural materials including Hessian for your chair sashes with matching table runners.
In your bouquet how about incorporating acorns and oak leaves, or try something different with fruits and berries such as blackberries or rose hips.
A Wedding in Summer you will be warm, have every choice of floral bloom and the party can go on late into the night!
The one thing we can’t plan (sadly the weather!) will be on your side allowing more outside options and possibly an outside ceremony even.
You should opt for bright hues such as bright yellow teamed with grey or corals as part of your colour scheme – How about Sunflowers as your flowers? Or you could even do something a bit different and use fruit within your centrepieces, or how about a beach inspired theme for a more refreshing touch.
Why not offer refreshing cocktails for your welcome drinks such as daiquiris and mojitos?
How about wedding sunglasses for favours for all your guests as a fun, quirky idea.
A late night sundae bar as a sweet treat should cool your guests down sufficiently.
Let’s sun dance……….
One of the most beautiful times of year to wed, spring weddings are full of pretty yellows, greens and ivories with clean fresh air!
With a great choice of flowers too as new buds are all in bloom!
How about using mismatched crockery and having afternoon tea? choosing a vintage tea pot filled with hand-picked pretty pastel blooms such as gypsophilia, daisies and lavender for your centrepieces or a pretty birdcage.
How about small touches of chintz bunting and lace to finish off the look?
