A centrepiece is an important part of any wedding or event display, usually forming part of a table setting.  Centrepieces help set the theme of the day and bring extra decorations to the room.

On the table, a centrepiece is a large central object which serves a decorative purpose. However, centrepieces should not be too large, to avoid difficulty with visibility around the table and to allow for the easier serving of dishes.

Centrepieces are used widely at wedding receptions with flowers being the most popular form of centrepieces.  Other occasions will usually have some form of centrepiece, usually balloons.

Centrepieces could be made from flowers, candles, fruit, sweets, or even goldfish swimming in the ever popular goldfish bowl. A centrepiece can be made from anything that fits with your theme and colour scheme, and can be as elaborate or simple as you so wish.  You could also add a mirror plate to add some extra sparkle.  Sometimes less can be more……..
